I'm a superhero.  A purveyor of the impossible.  With me, time stands still. Photography is my medium.

From behind my lens I have the ability to take you back to that special day. It's what I strive to do every time I take out my camera.

I like to think I do it well.  What else, you ask?

I believe in fate, and destiny, and love at first sight.  (It truly happened to me).

I am captivated by birth and it's beauty.  It's a must in my line of work.  I'm also a life-long birth advocate. I fight for women. I stand up for babies.  I believe women are amazing and powerful and beautiful.  In birth, every woman should have their needs met and their choices respected, and the babies be given the same dignity.

I'm lighthearted and cheeky; shy and reserved; outspoken and loud.  Am I the life of the party? Sure! Am I sometimes a hopeless wallflower?  Yup, that's me too!  I guess you could say I'm a walking dichotomy.

I never back down from something due to its level of difficulty, even its impossibility!  In fact, I most often respond to things with, "challenge accepted,"  and then I endeavor to make it so.

I love coffee and caramel - best when together. For fun, I've been known to read dictionaries and thesauri. Fonts and typography make me giddy.  Plus, I'm a self-described grammar snob, so if you see a mistake, I'm horrified. But I prefer you correct me.

I'm never more at ease than when I'm swimming.  A competitive swimmer, and former record holder, I came back to the pool and joined the United States Masters Swimming Organization, after 16 years without, and became certified as a coach as well.  Being true to myself, I had to venture beyond the pool walls and challenge my status quo.  The Ocean is now my favorite place to swim far and long.  But I'll never lose the love I feel for the smell of chlorine.

At home, I'm also a superhero to my children. But in reality, my children are mine. They never cease to amaze me with their zest for life, inquisitive nature, and resilience in the face of adversity.

I love to cook amazing dishes from around the world, and bake from total scratch.  I wish with all my heart I knew how to sew, knit, crochet and quilt. Oh, and garden.

I'll also admit, I'm a bit of a modern day hippie. I've even been called "crunchy" once or twice. I guess it comes with the territory when one breastfeeds well beyond "normal," uses cloth diapers, births at home, and organizes nurse-ins.

Aside from my family, photos are my most prized possession. The "what-I-would-enter-a-burning-building-to-save" kind of thing. When I work, I bring that love of the craft and strong sentimentality to each of my client's stories. My goal is for you to have what you treasure most, preserved as an heirloom, to reflect upon, and share for generations.

Babies are born. Children change and grow. Life happens. And when you allow the lens into your life you will never lose a moment.
